According to Kotaku, developer Carbine Studios and its MMORPG WildStar is being shut down by parent company NCsoft, with 50 employees set to lose their jobs. Staff were informed of the closure at a meeting today, according to someone who was in the room, but it had been looming for a while after at least 2 other new projects did not manage to impress NCsoft. NCsoft has also made a statement confirming the news, and that they are helping to move as many employees as possible to other roles within the organization.
