Pokémon: Let’s Go Adds a Few More Features – RPGamer

The Pokémon Company and Nintendo have revealed more details about features in Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee!. The two games will introduce a new area called GO Park, where players can use a Bluetooth connection to transfer Pokémon caught in Pokémon GO into their adventure. The GO Park complex is located in Fuschia City and is made up of twenty individual parks, each of which can host up to fifty Pokémon. Players will have to capture the Pokémon from the GO Park before using them in their party, but it will allow Alolan forms of Pokémon to appear in the game.

Let’s Go also features a candy system, where players can raise the stats of their Pokémon by giving them Pokémon Candies. Different candies will raise different stats, and can be obtained in various ways such as by transferring Pokémon to Professor Oak, completing mini-games in the Go Park complex, or by putting Pokémon into the Poké Ball Plus device.

The game will also feature a different structure to its battles against legendary Pokémon such as Zapdos, Articuno, and Moltres. While battles against regular wild Pokémon are not featured in the game and replaced by capture encounters as in Pokémon GO, players will need to defeat the legendary Pokémon in battle before getting the chance to capture them.

Pokémon Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon Let’s Go, Eevee! are due to launch worldwide for Nintendo Switch on November 16, 2018. The games blend a remake of Pokémon Yellow with elements from smartphone title Pokémon Go, with wild Pokémon now visible on screen before being encountered and these taking the form of Pokémon Go’s capture encounters rather than standard Pokémon battles.
