Compile Heart has revealed its latest title, Varnir of the Dragon Star: Ecdysis of the Dragon. The game follows a theme of “dragons and witches”, taking place in the land of Valneria which is home to gigantic dragon fossils, while witches are persecuted for bringing forth dragons in the past.
The game follows a knight named Zephy who is tasked with tracking down a witch. However, hegets lost and is attacked by a dragon before being saved by the witches Minessa and Kirakaro. After drinking the blood of the dragon, Zephy awakens a latent power, and becomes embroiled in a conflict between various factions.
Varnir of the Dragon Star will be released in Japan for PlayStation 4 on October 11, 2018. There is no news regarding a potentital western release.
