Shroud of the Avatar Out Now

Shroud of the Avatar

Shroud of the Avatar: Forsaken Virtues, the spiritual successor to the Ultima series developed by Richard Garriott's Austin-based studio Portalarium, is now out for PC, Mac, and Linux. Though billed as an online multiplayer RPG, the game features a standalone offline single-player story mode. The online options feature three levels of interaction — S ingle Player Online, Friend Party Online, and Open Play Online — all of which see the world including creations of players such as vendors, houses, and player-made towns.

Shroud of the Avatar was originally announced in 2013, with initial development funds raised through a crowdfunding campaign, before being released through Steam Early Access in 2014. The game is priced at $39.99, with a 15% discount available until April 3, 2018. No subscription fees are necessary to play online.
