Bungie Apologizes for Faction Rally Token Issues in Destiny 2

So hey, those earnings for the latest Destiny 2 Faction Rally event? Yeah, they’re genuinely messed up and it’s not in players’ heads again. In their weekly address to the community, Bungie has admitted that an adjustment made to token earnings for the limited time event was implemented to the detriment of their players.

The revelation comes in the opening paragraphs of the weekly Bungie post from Cozmo, who explains that a tweak in the December 12th update to limit Faction Rally token rewards from Lost Sector chests was “too disruptive”.

“There was an issue in the previous Faction Rallies where players were earning hundreds of Faction Tokens per hour without firing a single shot. We’re looking at a change that won’t make players feel forced to run to and from a single chest for hours while also not placing a hard stop on enjoying Lost Sectors.”

The post also states that faction weapons for Season 2 that were revealed are not going to be arriving all at once but over the course of the season.

“We will be remedying this lapse in communication next week with details on what you should expect when the next Iron Banner rolls out in Season 2,” closes the post. “This was on us. No excuses.”

Our Thoughts

More open communication, huh guys? Nice.
