South Korea gaming giant Kakao Games recently announced it has invested around USD 190,000 in domestic developer Action Square. Through this deal, Kakao Games will obtain a 10.43% stake in Action Square. The studio, founded in 2012, has developed mobile action games such as Blade, Three Kingdoms Blade, and the upcoming title, Blade II.
Perhaps one of the most highly-anticipated mobile action RPG right now, Blade II is scheduled to launch in South Korea in the first half of 2018, with a Closed Beta phase confirmed for February 2018. Action Square is also working on 2 secret games, currently known as Project G (an action shooter RPG) and Project E (collectible strategy RPG).
