Nintendo announced that Pokémon Crystal, the enhanced third version from the second generation of Pokémon titles along with Pokémon Gold & Silver, will be released for Nintendo 3DS via the eShop on January 26, 2018, priced at $9.99. The game will be compatible with the Pokémon Bank service on the day it launches, and will use the 3DS wireless capabilities to allow players to undertake Link Battles and Link Trades, and use the Time Capsule feature to trade and battle with Pokémon from the 3DS versions of Pokémon Red, Blue, & Yellow.
Originally released for the Game Boy Color in 2001, Pokémon Crystal was the first title in the series to let players choose the gender of their character and use animations during battles. The game also features the mythical Pokémon Celebi, which in the 3DS version can be encountered in an event after completing the game.
Returning to the latest generation of Pokémon, a new trailer has appeared for Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon. The trailer publicly reveals an Ultra form of the legendary Pokémon Necrozma and its Z-Move, Light That Burns the Sky, as well as a new Ultra Beast that evolves. Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon are follow-ups to Pokémon Sun & Moon, introducing various new features, including a brand-new story featuring a new legendary called Necrozma. The games were released for Nintendo 3DS in November 2017.
